Our summer camp this year was at Medicine Mountain Scout in South Dakota.
We had a blast!  The Scouts visited local attractions like Bear Country USA, the Jewel Caves, the Crazy Horse Memorial, and Mt. Rushmore.

At Camp the kids worked on various merit badges and some of our more senior scouts participated in Caving and Climbing High Adventure activities.

The scouts participated in some camp wide contests and races, some did the Polar Bear Plunge, and a few did a flag ceremony.  Our bugler, Matthew, was the camp bugler for opening and closing flags every day.  Some of the Scout Masters even had fun by participating in the Scout Master Splash.  The Troop also did a service project to paint some benches and earned the “White Buffalo Award.”

It was a great camp and we’ll plan to go back.
