Here are some pictures from the February 19th Pack 872 Blue & Gold Dinner and Crossover where 2nd year Webelos joined Troop 873 and another Highlands Ranch Troop. Hawkquest visited and brought an Eagle, and a couple kinds of hawks. One of the centerpieces for the table was a collection of Boy Scout rank advancement cards and other memorabilia from a grandfather who was a Boy Scout.
We had some Cub Scouts visit the troop to see what Boy Scouts is like when they cross-over from Webolos to Boy Scouts. We had a few different activities for the visiting Webelos. There was a bike maintenance station, first aid station, a camping station that showed them how to set-up a tent, a fire safety station, and a talk by Jared about National Jamboree. Our Scout Master also briefed the parents of incoming scouts on what to expect when their son becomes a Boy Scout. The scouts also did a relay competition that was a lot of fun.
